1 Pick-And-Pick
This method of picking requires looms with multiple boxes at both sides. The term means that single picks from different shuttles are inserted in regular succession. -
2 Pick-At-Will
An arrangement wherein the shuttle boxes and the picking mechanism are arranged to insert one or more picks as required from any shuttle. -

15 Yates Pick
A picking motion operated from the crankshaft and used for wide and heavy looms. A strong pick is possible with this motion owing to the high speed of the striker attached to the crankshaft. The striker gives a harsh blow to the picking finger and the latter has to be moved out of the way of the striker on alternate picks. -

A defect in woven texture. One weft thread from selvedge to selvedge is missing. -
